This was a good example of a small single glazed refurbishment involving two 6/6 style windows. Both units were draught proofed and the following typically removed from the old units:
- Remove all old ironmongery
- Remove excess paint from the case and clean up
- Replace missing or sprung putty
- Old worn ropes replaced
- Remove old pulley wheels
- Replace and cracked panes of glass
We also fully draught proofed both units by removing the parting beads and baton rods for disposal and refitting them with new ones and integral brush strips. We ran grooves into the mid rail to allow weather piles to be fitted as well as new baton rods and brush seals on to the lower cills.
